ICLOS
The objective of the ICLOS project is to develop a closed-loop system including an artificial intelligence based on machine learning in order to improve the laser process quality and productivity. Actually, the laser industry is rapidly expanding, the requirement to quickly find the optimal laser parameters is always the costliest factor and it is a time-consuming issue difficult to solve. Indeed, the determination of laser parameters is currently achieved by doing parametric processing studies by scanning all the possible arrangements between numerous parameters (power, speed, frequency…). The laser technology proposed in the ICLOS project has limitless possibilities in terms of material, geometry, roughness, shape, dimension... The laser technology pushes always back the limits of material processing opening new possibilities. The difficulty is that this huge manufacturing flexibility must ensure the quality and the precision of the final workpiece. The ICLOS Project wants to respond on this is issue and supply a new solution, easily integrable and with the capability to learn by itself thanks to the implementation of machine learning functionalities.
