Increasing safety of operators in the field of Manual Handling of Goods
Work safety is important. The risks that manual laborers face on the job is a major concern for industries. MADESIGN, a company specialized in wearable technology, has developed a smart garment that provides information related to safety during work.
The smart garment is fitted with sensors. They provide real-time feedback to the worker, in order to avoid dangerous movements. The data is also uploaded to a cloud service for further processing.
The garment is washable and comfortable enough to be worn throughout the day.
The IOT4INDUSTRY Manuback project will promote the smart garment as a safety solution in the Manual Handling of Goods sector. A demonstration will take place at the end of the one-year project, involving 50 workers in a warehouse. The efficacy of the Dynaback solution will be measured in a real-life scenario.
