DSP Valley

DSP Valley is a cluster organisation active in the domain of smart electronic systems. Founded as a not-for-profit legal entity in 1996, DSP Valley is active in the cross-border region from Leuven in Belgium to Eindhoven in the Netherlands, and is currently having 125 members from industry, large multinationals as well as local start-ups and spin-offs and SMEs, as well as from academia and RTOs. DSP Valley members represent a total employment of over 22.000 staff. The DSP Valley team itself consists of 7 people.

As a cluster organisation, DSP Valley is mainly providing matchmaking and brokerage and project ideation services for innovation and emerging applications, both in funded projects and commercial business opportunities. Furthermore, DSP Valley is offering support to internationalisation, in and beyond Europe, often in partnership with other leading European technology and application clusters.

Through the matchmaking and brokerage services, DSP Valley is creating new value chains in the domain of smart electronic systems, linking technology providers in micro/nano-electronics and embedded software, in smart connectivity, smart vision and smart localisation, together with product developers in the following application domains:

• smart health, sports & wellbeing,
• smart home, buildings & cities,
• smart vehicles & mobility,
• smart industry

The technology providers typically include chip design companies and chip manufacturers as well as electronic manufacturing services providers and embedded software developers.
